I have simple problem just trying to recover data & log from one

Hi,

I have simple problem just trying to recover data & log from one server
to another server. So I try to restore data and log on server s2 from
backup I made of data and log on server s1.

I made new backup data and log mediums on both servers that used the
same physical file names on the disks and did full data and log backups
on s1.

Then I copied the backup medium disk files from s1 to s2.

Then on s2 I restore the data medium by using the recovery wizard and no
problemo. But when I try to restore the log volume I get error: Host
file I/O error

The docs are real sketchy about how to deal with a restore from one
machine to another. And in general the docs and save/restore interface
apparently assume that the user has already been trained at the SAP
schoolhaus in Berlin on how to backup/recover already?

Can you help me?
