Back Be careful, you won't see it in the list of user data sources until you have created one. Try adding a data source and you should see "MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver" in the list. If it's not there, THEN you have a problem.
I got confused by this initially too.

I've installed the above, but when i got to admin tool/ data sources i cant see it, have i been very dumb again?
