Back I think we need a bit more than "it wont work". Do you get any error messages? What exactly happens?
I do restores like this
mysql -hlocalhost -uroot -p [DatabaseName] <dump.sql
Replace [DatabaseName] with the name of your database. You may need a different host and user name too. I suspect you need some more parameters on your restore command line.

Hi, I used mysqlbackup to backup and old database (4.x), i now need to restore this, but i'm using mysql 5.0, when i run the mysql < db.sql it wont work, anybody come accross this ?
