MyODBC connection problem (incorrect user domain) connecting to remote MySQL

MyODBC connection problem (incorrect user domain) connecting to remote MySQL

2007-02-12       - By Roger A. Grimes

 Back
Setup: Windows Server 2003 R2, MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver connecting to
RedHat Enterprise 4 and MySQL 5.0

Trying to setup the MyODBC connection on W2K3 box. It's installed as a
System DSN.

I think I have everything installed correctly, but when the MyODBC
connector passes the user string, it passes the user name with the
domain name of the local box, instead of using just the user name or the
user name with the remote domain name.

I've googled and search the MyODBC archive. I see other people have had
similar problems in the past, but I can't find a resolution.

Any help you provide is much appreciated.

Roger
