Subject: Unicode support for myodbc

Subject: Unicode support for myodbc

Hi,

I am using MySQL Connector v3.51.12 for both Solaris 8 and Windows
platform. But Unicode specific calls like SQLExecDirectW are only
working for Windows, but not for Solaris 8.

I have a question here. Do Unicode is supported by MySQL
Connector/MyODBC v3.51 for both Windows & Solaris or only by Windows?

Also, which version of UNIXODBC manager (libodc.so) is provided with
MyODBC v3.51.12? I am seen that the size of libodbc.so, which is
provided with MyODBC connector, is around 1350272 bytes. I had another
version of libodbc.so (size 1517464 bytes), provided to me by my client,
but this MyODBC connector doesn't work with it. Do we need to use some
specific version of libodbc.so, with MyODBC v3.51.12 connector?

Thanks in advance,

Yashpal
