Hi all,
for documentation purpose: I suggested Manuel to use the COMPACT format
for
data files rather then the COMPRESSED format. The COMPACT format is a
proprietary
MaxDB Loader format that eliminates problems with CSV data in this
release (7.3)
and the need to extra specify LONG file names in EXTRACT and LOAD
commands.
The DATALOAD command
DATALOAD TABLE "IMMO_EXPOSE"
"DATUM_VERAEND_E" 1 CHAR DEFAULT NULL
"DATUM_VERAEND_IE" 2 CHAR DEFAULT NULL
"EDIID" 3 CHAR
"EXPOSE" 4 CHAR DEFAULT NULL
"EXPOSE_INTERNET" 5 CHAR DEFAULT NULL
"HAT_EXPOSE" 6 CHAR DEFAULT NULL
INFILE 'IMMO_EXPOSE.data'  COMPRESSED ASCII
DECIMAL '/ /./'
DATE INTERNAL
TIME INTERNAL
TIMESTAMP INTERNAL
NULL '?                   '
BOOLEAN 'TRUE/FALSE'
LONGFILE "EXPOSE" 'IMMO_EXPOSE.EXPOSE' BINARY

could therefor be rewritten as:
DATALOAD TABLE "IMMO_EXPOSE"
"DATUM_VERAEND_E" 1 CHAR DEFAULT NULL
"DATUM_VERAEND_IE" 2 CHAR DEFAULT NULL
"EDIID" 3 CHAR
"EXPOSE" 4 CHAR DEFAULT NULL
"EXPOSE_INTERNET" 5 CHAR DEFAULT NULL
"HAT_EXPOSE" 6 CHAR DEFAULT NULL
INFILE 'IMMO_EXPOSE.data'  COMPACT ASCII
DECIMAL '/ /./'
DATE INTERNAL
TIME INTERNAL
TIMESTAMP INTERNAL
NULL '?                   '
BOOLEAN 'TRUE/FALSE'

The corresponding DATAEXTRACT FOR DATALOAD command would look like this:
DATAEXTRACT FOR DATALOAD TABLE "IMMO_EXPOSE"
    OUTFILE '<commands file name>' APPEND
    OUTFILE '<data file name' COMPACT

Steffen
