Back I'm trying to build mysql++ under Cygwin. I ran './configure' and 'make' and everything compiles fine. But when I type 'make install', I get this error:
-- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ------ ... make[1]: Entering directory `/home/[*user*]/mysql++-2.1.1/lib' /usr/bin/install -c -d /usr/local/lib /usr/bin/install -c -m 644 libmysqlpp.dll.a /usr/local/lib /usr/bin/install: cannot stat `libmysqlpp.dll.a': No such file or directory make[1]: *** [install_mysqlpp] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/[*user*]/mysql++-2.1.1/lib' make: *** [install] Error 2 -- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ------
There is no file called 'libmysqlpp.dll.a' under '/mysql++-2.1.1/lib' or anywhere else. The only library file in that directory is 'cygmysqlpp.dll'. Is this a bug in the makefile or have I not set things up correctly? Why isn't libmysqlpp.dll.a being created by the make process? Again, there were no compile errors. And libmysqlclient is installed and working fine (I can compile and run C programs that use it under Cygwin). Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks!
System: Windows XP Professional x64 Edition on Athlon 64 X2 dual core Cygwin 1.5.21, MySQL 5.0 (client library built under Cygwin), MySQL++ 2.1.1
