STAMP problem on migrating from Adabas to MaxDB

STAMP problem on migrating from Adabas to MaxDB

Hello list,

we are actual migrating from Adabas D 11 to MaxDB 7.6 and have same
problems/questions, as described in:
http://lists.mysql.com/maxdb/6124
http://lists.mysql.com/maxdb/6219

Because these list entries are from 2002, I want to know, if now there is
the possibility, to configure the start value for the global stamp, or if
we had to increase this value manually.

Another (new) question is, if the stamp value is always increased, or if
this value can change to a lower value. A collegue of me have made some
tests and told me, that sometimes it seems, that there are generated lower
values than before and switched back to the higher values. Is that
possible?

Regards,
Thomas Schulz
