I hope I will finally find answers here. I have successfully used the
MySQL ODBC driver through DTS to migrate our user db from MySql to Sql
Server 2000. The only problem is that the passwords in the user table,
which are entered as MD5 hashed values are not carrying over. DTS
automatically converts the column to varchar. If I change the type in
the Transformations tab of DTS to varbinary on the MSSQL side I get an
activex error (Error during Transformation 'AxScriptXform' for Row
number 1. Errors encountered so far in this task: 1. ActiveX Scripting
Transform 'AxScriptXform' encountered an invalid data value for
'Password' destination column.)



Has anyone successfully moved hashed passwords to a MSSQL database? Any
suggestions??
