Migration from Windows SAP-DB 7.3 to Linux MaxDB 7.6

Migration from Windows SAP-DB 7.3 to Linux MaxDB 7.6

Hello list-users,

we are running three SAP KPro servers with SAP-DB version 7.3.00.40 on
Windows NT Server 4.0 a lot of years now without problems. Now we plan to
migrate these databases to new servers with SLES 9 64-bit and MaxDB 7.6,
delivered from SAP as KPro version 6.40.

The problem is, that we can't update to version 7.6 on the old machines
because the KPro interface doesn't work with this version, or rather nobody
guarantees this. And the KPro application should still work a couple of
weeks on the old servers.

Therefore we looked for a 7.3 version (7.4 would be also OK, according to
SAP) that runs on our new SLES 9 64-bit servers, but we can't find any.
There is only an i386 and (for 7.4) an ia64 version on www.sapdb.org
<www.sapdb.org> .

Is there anyone have done this migration or any ideas how we can do this?

Kind regards
Steffen
