  | | | dbmcli db_create executable program not accessible | dbmcli db_create executable program not accessible 2004-04-06 - By Hinrich
Back Hello
I installed maxdb (with option 9 [all]) under Red Hat 9 without problems.
independend data path is: /var/opt/sdb/data dependend data path is: /opt/sdb/programs
After that I started to create a db-instance locally as follows: (This is the way suggested in Axel Busch and Gerd König's 'MaxDB - Installation and Administration')
export SID=TEST01 export INSTROOT=/opt/sdb/programs export RUNDIRECTORY=/var/opt/sdb/data/wrk/$SID /opt/sdb/programs/bin/x_server start
/opt/sdb/programs/bin/dbmcli -s -R $INSTROOT db_create $SID dbm,dbm causing following err msg: Error! Connection failed to node (local) for database (no dbname): executable program not accessible
Why is could't a connection be established? What program is supposed to be accessed? Is $INSTROOT set correct? What is the problem?
Thanks for your help in advance!
Regards
Hinrich Främcke
