Back Travis,
I uploaded a new alpha release of the tool yesterday, 1.0.2
This version now has a better error handling detailed provides progress information.
Before you install the Migration Toolkit, please make sure you have a current version of the Java Runtime Environment 1.4.2 installed. The latest one is
* J2SE v 1.4.2_08 JRE.
Please get it from http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html
Currently Oracle and MS Access databases are supported. The MS Access modules are using the standard ODBC-JDBC bridge that comes with the JRE.
If you want to migrate an Oracle database you have to add Oracle's JDBC driver to the tool - because we are not allowed to ship it ourselfs.
* Start the tool * Choose Tools > Attach JDBC driver * Find and select the ojdbc14.jar A typical location of that file on Windows would be 'C:\Oracle\ora92\jdbc\lib'.
I hope this helps you getting started.
Regards, Mike
