After a database crash and reboot of the server the database cannot be
started again. Error message is

There is this "cannot switch to sdb owner " in dbmsrvctl which happens
often on Linux at install time for various reasons. I had a look at the
maxdb-7.6 code to find out what the reason for thHello

variant of MaxDB (Vs 7.5.00.38) as well as with shell scripts written
for the Linux variant (Vs 7.6.00.34).
MeanwhiI 'm still wondering what 's going on with websql in 7.6? IIRC it was said
that it will reappear in an upcoming 7.6 release but I still can 't find

I have two instances of Maxdb 7.6.0.32 that have crashed several times
due to Shared SQL.
To avoid future crashes we set the setting SHARED_SQL to NO.
Can we run maxdb without SharedSql for a Quick question do you know how to create a file structure on unix i.e
give an amount of physical space to each directory you create
