I am using Windows
I had written a windows app using the C api that used the embedded
server for 4.0.18 and it worked fine. Now I am trying to upgrade to
4.1.9 and it is not working. When I hit the statement
mHas anyone used mysql 5.0.3-alpha?
Where could it be got and could it be recommended?

Your error messages seem to indicate you don 't have proper permissions to modify the registry keys. Are you logged in with administrator priviledges?
I apologize in adRemember to check at your drive root (C ) if there is the my.cnf file.

I believe Daniel was being serious. He had a few mis-typed version numbers
I think Daniel just had some typos. 5.1 means 5.0.1 and 5.2 means 5.0.2
and so on.
